In this Together

At Inflector, it is important to us to not only provide opportunities for our clients and staff to thrive, but also to support the communities that we are actively a part of. We have had the opportunity to give back to our local communities through charitable involvement and a number of fundraising initiatives.

From our high-level leadership team members to our office and in-field staff, we ensure across the board that there is genuine care for one another, our clients and our communities. It is a priority at Inflector for our team to value giving back to our communities and supporting causes that are important to us.

Past and Ongoing Community Involvement

Ski for Kids logo

Ski For Kids

Ski For Kids is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts at Inflector Environmental Services. In support of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa, Ski For Kids is an annual fundraising event held at Mont Ste. Marie. Inflector’s Founder, Jeff Clarke Sr., was formerly the Co-Chair of Ski For Kids and was instrumental in helping develop it into the recognized event it is today. Part of Inflector’s history with Ski For Kids includes a longstanding tradition of hosting a dinner with sponsors at the Clarke family cottage on the eve of the event date. Inflector continues to take an active part in supporting Ski For Kids as a black diamond sponsor, supporting the organization’s mission of helping children and youth in the Ottawa community.

The Ottawa Hospital logo

The Ottawa Hospital Foundation

Jeff W. Clarke is proud to sit on the Board of Directors at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation. Jeff became familiar with the commendable operations of The Ottawa Hospital on a personal level, witnessing the compassion and care given to his father while he received treatment through his battle with lung cancer. Over a three-month period, Jeff and his family had the opportunity to get to know the hospital staff and Jeff knew that should the opportunity arise, he would love to give back to the hospital. Shortly after, Jeff joined the Foundation’s Board of Directors and has served as a table captain at the annual President’s Breakfast for the past five years. The event put on by The Ottawa Hospital is aimed at raising funds for ongoing developments in patient care and hospital research.

Fight for the Cure

In memory of his father, Jeff W. Clarke participated in the Fight for the Cure in 2019, hosted at Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, QC. In support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, an organization providing local cancer care and helping those affected by cancer live better, Jeff raised nearly $170,000 for the cause on his own. After eight months of intense training, Jeff stepped into the ring along with 11 other courageous participants for an evening of boxing bouts that had the entire crowd on their feet.

Christie Lake Kids logo

Christie Lake Kids

Inflector Environmental Services is a longstanding supporter of Christie Lake Kids, an organization dedicated to making an array of programs accessible to otherwise disadvantaged children. Campers have the opportunity to partake in educational and sports-oriented activities, promoting mental and physical wellness and social skills development. Inflector has shown support for Christie Lake Kids by sponsoring many of their events including Canoe for Kids, CLK Gold Tournament and the “An Unlikely Pairing” Gala, which all help to facilitate their continued program expansion for vulnerable children and youth.

Our involvement with Christie Lake Kids extends even deeper. In 2016, a camper unknowingly carried rotavirus into the Christie Lake facility, which resulted in Public Health Canada shutting down the camp. Determined to have the camp re-opened for the next group of campers, Inflector’s emergency response team was on-site in less than 24 hours and used specialized chemicals and equipment to safely decontaminate the entire property. In just two weeks, we safely ensured that all their 50 buildings across the 80-acre property were sanitized, safe and ready for the next round of eager campers.

Maddy's Gala Logo

Maddy’s Gala

Maddy’s Gala is a very special event founded by the Otto family who lost their brave little girl to a brain tumour in 2007. In support of the Roger Neilson House, the annual Maddy’s gala has raised over $986,000 in her honour. The Roger Neilson House is a one-of-a-kind pediatric hospice, a facility for families with children who require palliative care. The Roger Neilson House was a major support to the Otto family as they navigated the loss of their five-year-old daughter, and they wanted to ensure other families in their position could have access to these same essential resources. We are so proud to be a sponsor of this wonderful cause.

Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation logo

Queensway Carleton Hospital and Foundation

Once a year, the QCHF hosts their Harvesting Hope Gala in support of mental health care at their hospital. Inflector is honoured to have been the Hope Photo Sponsor over the years. It’s a wonderful event that our team loves to attend, where we can connect with the philanthropic members of Ottawa’s community. It is so important to us at Inflector to be a part of the conversation aimed at ending the stigma surrounding mental health and be an advocate for positive change.

The great big dig for the IWK

The Kent Great Big Dig for the IWK

With our deep roots and continued presence in Nova Scotia, we are proud to take part in helping raise funds for Halifax’s IWK Health Centre as a silver sponsor for their The Great Big Dig fundraising event. The Great Big Dig brings construction industry teams together from near and far for one great evening, with the main purpose to raise funds that supply essential equipment to the IWK. The IWK Health Centre is both a pediatric hospital and a trauma centre with a focus on providing care to Atlantic Canada’s women, children and youth.

YMCA logo

YMCA Foundation

Inflector’s support with the YMCA Foundation began over ten years ago with our Founder, Jeff Clarke Sr. It was his priority to give back to his community and contribute to the health and wellness of at-risk youth and their families. Inflector is honoured to be a presenting sponsor at the YMCA Golf Tournament, supporting a cause that has initiated important programs that instill hope and improve the overall well-being of those who need it most.

Boxing Canada logo

Canadian Boxing Athletes

We are honoured to support professional Canadian boxing athletes Custio Clayton and Patrice Volny. Both undefeated, Clayton and Volny train at Ottawa’s Final Round Boxing under coach Eric Belanger. Jeff had the opportunity to meet these inspiring athletes while training at Final Round for his match for the 2019 Fight for the Cure. Their talent, drive and determination to succeed make Inflector more than proud to be their official sponsor.
